?? Price used transmission 07 JKU ??

I blew a hole in the bottom of my transmission taking it apart today yesterday I got the exhaust all loosened gonna take the driveshaft front and back off today. Maybe drop the transmission has anybody ever bought a used transmission? What’s good and bad what am I to look out for Thank you

 

Background story on the hole would be interesting as well as your transmission replacement. I'd stick with a similar year JK with the 3.8 motor. Generally if you can remove the old transmission yourself installing the replacement transmission should not be a problem. You might be able to find a decent transmission from a wreck or the bone yard may offer a limited warranty. There should be some used transmissions from a JK wreck/insurance total or inquire at the local transmission shop.
