Why did my fuel pump crack?

    Hello jeep fam
    I have an 82 CJ7, I got the inline 6 4.2 rebuilt and I had to change the fuel pump twice because they cracked, any ideas why it would crack ,besides made crappy.

    Steel front bumper, all terrain aggressive tires, side step rails, class 4 receiver with dual American flag mounts, roof rack, 10 LED light bars, rock lights, master control switch board, American flag decals, 2 inch lift, 2 inch spacers, slotted rotors.
    1. Who is installing the fuel pump? You or your mechanic?

    2. Are you installing an aftermarket or OEM?

    3. Did you at all physically match up the new fuel pump with the original to ensure dimensions of set pump were the same?

    And:
    4. Were the replacement pumps labeled Omix-ADA? NAPA still lists a mechanical pump for that application that would no doubt be a way better bet for one that actually works.
