Wheel studs won't hold rotors to hubs

    Bone stock
    Rebuilding a 1978 CJ5, took everything down to spindles. Replaced calipers but when reinstalling rotors to hubs, new wheel studs won't seat in hubs through rotors? Studs are new, exact same width and diameter as originals. Has anyone experienced this?
