Not sure where to put this so I put it here.

    So pissed right now.

Construction truck flipped a rock onto my windshield as I was passing him this morning and gave me a 1” crack! It's a 1" hairline crack, would they be able to repair or do I need to replace it? And if I need to replace would they have the jeep graphics that go all the way around the windshield or do I need to purchase that myself and would they install the graphic if I purchase before service?

So guess I’ll be scheduling for Safelite to come out! Ugh!!!!!

Safelife sells oem replacement glass, they will give you the option for either their glass or for about $20-$30 more the oem glass that has the Jeep graphics on it.

Check with your insurance. Some states such as Arizona give 2 glass replacements per year with no deductible

Too bad about the windshield but its truly a Jeep thing with the flat glass on the roads. Similar Jeep graphic decals can be applied to graphic-less windshields

Just got off the phone with my insurance company and Safelite. They are replacing it. No deductible in Florida, Yay!

So I'm getting a new windshield(graphics included) on Monday.

All done installing new windshield. Looks like it just stepped off the factory line(and came with all those little upgrades I've done of course).

Advantage is cheap easy install. Disadvantage is they don't hold up as well as a detroit locker. I can install one in about 3hours, no regearing and they cost around $250. It is something I would do to get me by while saving for my 1tons.

Truetracs install like installing any new differential be it locker, open diff or limited slip. You have to re-shim the carrier as if you were regearing. You're looking at the minimum 5 hours and could be as much as 12 depending on how patient and anal your are at getting your gear pattern when setting up the new shims.

Next Truetracs are not lockers. They are a form of limited slip differential (LSD). The difference is that LSD have clutch packs giving resistance to the differential causing both wheels to spin under slippage, but the wheel with the least resistance (the one in the air) gets the most power. The Truetrac does this with helical cut gears in place of the spider gears instead of using clutch packs which wear out after 30k miles or so. Truetrac's advantage is that they will likely last the life of your vehicle's axle where you have to rebuild LSD clutch packs every 30k miles

Gave it a good wash yesterday!

Ended up pulling the trigger on the KC lights during the Black Friday weekend sale. Will be my Christmas gift to myself so will sit under the tree for a month before I install it.
