Hi, I have an older, 2011 2 door JK that I’m considering installing a good/great after market system that has Apple Car Play. My 2011 still has it’s ever so humble AM/FM radio, and I’d like to replace it with something that installs into the dash, looks OEM, plug and play, and has a larger screen than my iPhone - maybe 7-10”. There are a lot of different makes and specs out there, and my biggest criteria is that it works good right off the bat without a struggle, lol. I’m not trying to save money, just trying not to waste money on something that is frustrating or marginal. Thanks for the advice in advance!

Subscribed for whatever you discover for your '11 that could apply for my '16. Have you checked Crutchfield.com? They're a specialized vender that not only have good advice but adapter trims, mounts , harnesses to make the installation simpler.

Thanks, Aggrex. Crutchfield is a good site! However, I didn’t see any Jeep Wrangler specific applications in the product descriptions or reviews. Maybe it’s just me, but this topic seems unduly complex. Maybe I need to go into a high end shop and ask them what they supply, lol. But I’m going to hold out for awhile first and see if I can do it myself. My Jeep is in the garage for winter, so I have lots of time to figure it all out.

Just an update, I’ve found a Maryland supplier, Trail Seven, that provides plug and play installations that gets quite good reviews. They’re also Jeep specific, and provide custom service, according to the features of your Jeep. I’ll let you know how this evolves, but you may not see my actual installation until after Christmas because once I get this scoped out, it goes on my Christmas wish list, lol. Hope springs eternal!
