Grand Cherokee won't start, immobilizer issue. Part #05026185AF unavailable, no replacement known

    2006 grand cherokee larado blue 3.7
    i have an 06 grand cherokee that wont start or even crank over. the jeep mechanic says the ignition skreem immobilizer is bad. neither of us can find a new part anywhere. its been discontinued. he says i need a new one because a used one has been programmed for the car it came from only. does anyone know where there might be the part i need?
