I took"Joe" Joe Jeep, for an oil change at the dealer. Unfortunately, their garage door hit the top in back. They immediately ordered a new one. My question is, when they put the new top on, is the damaged one still mine, or is legally there's then? It's minor cosmetic damage and I can easily sell it.

Good question. I’d say someone from the dealership will grab it but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. It may have to be destroyed wink wink.

let us know what you find out.

If you ask nicely something can be worked out as it usually gets tossed in the dumpster.

I just found out that I don't have the right to keep any parts that were replaced for free or under warranty. I'll still ask though because it really is minor if you're not the picky type so I should be able to sell it. I have no mods yet but my running boards will be here next week. Go rhino dominator D1. Can't wait!

If it was a soft top they could roll it up and toss it in the Jeep. Now a hard top could be challenging to carry home....

I wish now that I would've bought a soft top. Next time I will. I would've had them put it in the box the new one was sitting in and have my neighbor pick it up in his truck but sadly, they refused. Unfortunately, I hit snooze too many times this morning so no time for makeup:notsure:
Oh well. Waiting for a call to tell me it's done.

I've heard its easier to go soft to hard rather than hard to soft but thats what she said :anonymous:. Either way the important thing is the jeep will be fixed and ready for action.
