I'm considering an engine swap for a 1970 CJ5. It currently is a 4 cylinder 3 speed. I have a 1993 GMC with a V-6. Would that be doable swap including using the power steering from the GMC as well. Is there any chance it would bolt up to the CJ5 bell housing?

That is a popular swap. If you want to keep the T90 transmission, you will need the T90J input shaft and the 2 5/8" thick adapter-sbc's will not bolt directly to the Jeep transmission. I suspect with the V6 there will be adequate room for the typical long water pump and the stock PS pump. That said, the short water pump and compatible PS pump brackets are widely available. The T90 should be fine strength wise. It is sufficient up to about a 350 cid engine-if you are nice to it.

Novak builds the adapter and has a lot of good information on their site.

There is a wealth of information on this topic at both ECJ5 and the 3B Page. The 3B and CJ 5 share 99% or their drivetrain components.
