I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and on Friday the left front wheel speed sensor went bad. It was scanned and scheduled to be replaced Monday afternoon. On Monday morning while driving about 5mph through a parking lot my transmission just disengaged. Before I replace the transmission and wheel sensor, is this a coincidence or are the two related? Thanks!

On my non-Jeep vehicle one bad wheel speed sensor caused the ABS and AWD warning lights to light up. I had no problem driving home order a wheel speed sensor and pick it up and replace at home. IMO the failed wheel speed sensor may only affect AWD operation.
