you will need to interpret the diagrams.
getting a color picture of this is unlikely BUT I will try.

attached is diagram of switch - terminal 4 will have 2 wires tan and black stripe (TN/BK) and they should have 12v on both. SHOULD is key as we ASSUME wire from fuse to switch is good.

the idea is to get 12v to the DLC cavity 16, either repairing the circuit to switch or jump voltage with the clip on wire lead.

Are you around.? Im finally going to work on this...plz tell me where im jumping voltage to terminal 16? Am i taking the headlight switch out again and jumping power from that to the DLC. DLC is the port to connect a code reader? We are tryinb to get voltage from headlight switch to the DLC. DcL = code reader port? I see picture, that picture is the headlight switch?

    post an update -

Did you get 12v to DLC?
Is the 12v present when probing cavity?
Is the 12v there with key off and engine off?
Does it (12v) show up only with key on or engine on?

Ok , this is what i did..spliced tan/black wire from light switch,
    Then spliced tan/black on DLc...
Then there was voltage..BUT, MY dash won't work when its connected..
While I have it connected...my jeep did shift into over drive ( still no reverse lights) so when my dash goes out, the engine light is gone...
    So
.went to autozone, while my jumper connected and DLC has power..
    Still can't communicate
I followed your directions on my other thread. Did i do this completely wrong?
