I am trying to figure out what to do with my 2012 jeep grand Cherokee overland summit. 105,000 miles on it
I was driving and lights came on on the dash board and the car stopped.
There was a recall on the alternator of 2012 5.7 hemi engines. When the dealer put my serial in it said not this jeep.
    Replaced alternator, battery etc.
    still won’t turnover.
1st dealer diagnosed PCM. I dealt with on PCM rebuilds. Didn’t work. I took it to a second dealer they diagnosed fuse box and starter. Even though the started was ok before. It was bumped tested before. It did turn. I also noticed a new electrical burn smell when I picked the car up.
the dealer said they could replace PCM and fuse box and it still may not turnover over. So I had it towed home a second time after two 200.00 diagnosing. It’s such a great car I hate to toss it with so many attributes.
Pleased with Jeep, but no supporter owning 4 of them.
    Any advice will help

After considerable time and expense with no resolution of the Jeep problems from two dealers I'd contact corporate office for assistance. Generally the best place to service your Jeep would be the dealerships that have the parts, tools and training to fix Jeep vehicles. Perhaps it might have been better to have only one dealership handling your complex problems. An out of warranty JGC with no resolution for the problems could become an expensive money pit. Even Stellantis, the parent company is currently experiencing leadership changes, sales problems, recalls and warranty repairs etc in a volatile auto market in the US but hopefully they will work with you to get your Jeep running at one of these dealers.
