1985 XJ Trail Rig

    I have been slowly building my 1985 Cherokee for 20 years but its time to sell it and move on. The jeep has the following mods:

    • HP Dana 60 (8x6.5 and NOT superduty pattern) with Ballistic truss and PSC double ended hydro ram.
    • 14 Bolt Rear with disc brakes
    • 5.38 Gears, Yukon Grizzly Lockers and Ballistic/Ruff Stuff diff covers front and rear
    • Custom Long Arm front suspension.
    • 4.5" Lift Springs front and rear.
    • 2.8L V6 with Cam, 3.4L heads, headers and 4 barrel Holley 390 cfm carb
    • AX-5 Trans with centerforce clutch
    • NP207 with hack and tap SYE
    • Full interior cage built with 1.75" .120 wall HREW
    • Mastercraft Rubicon drivers seat
    • Dual battery setup with 12 volt guy switch pannel and Optima batteries (1 red, 1 yellow)
    • 15ish gallon fuel cell mounted in the cargo area
    • Removable front doors (modified hinges so they lift off with no tools)
    • Custom front and rear bumpers
    • Orbital Steering Valve for hydro steering (this is NOT return to center)
    • 37" Boggers on H2 Wheels
    I also have the following items that are NOT installed but will come with the jeep:

    • A2001 LQ4 6.0 and wiring harness (all disassembled and will need boring and machining)
    • TH400 Trans
    • Ford NP205
    • Ruff Stuff rear 4 link kit
    • Ruff Stuff XJ Frame stiffeners
    And now for the bad.... The jeep has not run since early 2016. It did flood up to about oil pan level but the engine spins free. I finished the swap to the fuel cell then had to move on to other projects (house and kids) before I got it all up and running. Most likely needs the fuel system to be primed up and a new distributor cap and rotor but NO PROMISES. The Jeep is also heavily used offroad and has dents, scrapes, bent sheet metal, etc. It will NEVER be pretty, but I do have the title and it could be made street legal depending on your area and how much you want it. This Jeep has been all over Colorado, Moab and Louisiana.

    I am looking to get $5,000 for everything and can help with delivery depending on location and timing for a negotiated fee. Located in Baton Rouge, LA.
