I need to secure my hood with a lock. They are stealing batteries, all over the place in Philly. I've read the reviews online and so far I'm not impressed. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome! The JK comes well armored for the T/C and gas tank but in Philly or any big city its fair open game on batteries or vandalizing the gas. Stant makes a locking gas cap or spend more for the fuel door lock. Slow down the battery thieves with the Tuffy/Bolt hood lock or Rampage locking hood catch but with exposed hinge bolts the determined thief has options. Park smart and/or add an alarm so the JK can call someone for help.

Seriously. I remember back in the late 70s early 80s. Stealing gas was well.....very popular. So now it's turned to batteries. Really.... WTF. What are we teaching these kids these days. Lol. Fricking ridiculous when we have to spend $80 or more to prevent a douche bag from stealing our batteries.

Me personally. If I catch some one on my property, any where near my rig. You better know some type of Martial arts. Cause I'm gonna kick their fricking ass. Just saying.....what is happening. Stealing batteries????

You can always get another battery and wire to the frame and if someone touches you Jeep they will get a surprise. Lol. Not sure it's legal.
