Why in hell would the engineers design the oil filter container made out of ABS plastic? The cap has a bolt head, all plastic, I see failure here. There must be another alternative to this cheap setup. My 2011 F550 had a plastic oil pan, chgd that crap quick. My concern with my jeep is the plastic bolt head cap will crack or strip out eventually, any thoughts?

Use the correct socket (24mm) and don't over tighten and all should be well. Mine has been fine for 5 years and 80,000 miles.

    That's about 26 oil changes....
