Can you replace a non ABS rear diff on an ABS model 1992 XJ and bypass or cut off the ABS module and lines to the rear?

You can, but the issue will be getting it inspected. In texas we just need a safety inspection on vehicles greater than 23years old. But some require you to have no safety lights lit on your dash. Try pulling the big ABS fuse. I think it is under the hood in the engine bay. If that does not give you any dummy lights on your dash, then I believe you can leave out the fuse and install the non ABS axle. Any one else have any comments? Kind of out of my element here.
