I am wanting to put a 2.5 lift on jeep. I have several jeeps over the years and love the ride of my JK and don't want to lose the ride. I am a mall crawler and will not be taking it off-road. I am open to suggestions please. Thank you ahead of time

Welcome to the site! Lifts are really subjective, as each person has different needs, and wants for their vehicles performance, and ride. If you don't plan on much off road, consider a spacer lift. This is a good way to go, and easy on the budget. Keep in mind, the more complete kits include needed features, such as trac bar brackets, and such. Others will pop in to give more information.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Just a couple quick thoughts.
With any lift, your going to have to make other modifications to keep that factory ride.
Adjustable track bars in not already equipped. Adjustable control arms, again, if not equipped, or, relocation brackets. And if your looking for a cheap quick lift. Several companies make coil spring spacer kits. But most if not all are 2inch kits. Which is what I run.

Theres others here much more knowledgeable than I am, could help out too

Chris4x4 posted like 4 seconds before I did. Lollll. He's one of the more knowledgeable members I was talking about. :)

What is your end goal. Is it a certain tire size or is it the height or both?

I am thinking 33" tires, I want the most aggressive look with out loosing the ride is my overall goal. I would rather spend the money and not lose the ride.

I'd like to chime in on this chat. I'm also thinking of a lift - 2". I live in the GA mountains and do some off roading but no extreme rock crawling. I want larger tires and the look of a lift. Not sure of what type of lift to go with don't want to pay for stuff I don't need but want a quality job. Not sure what the difference is between a spacer lift and suspension lift? Any insight would be helpful. Hope I'm not violating protocol by barging in on Deere1's chat. Ya'll have a good day. Thanks.

You can fit 33s with no lift. If you switch to flat fender flares.

    Not a problem Aceman.

In a nut shell. Lift kits....there are to many to list here. Every thing from just new coil springs and shocks, to long arm kits, to $2000 kits with every thing you will ever need. In which you replace just about every suspension component. To $500 kits. Your just going to have to sit down and do some research.

Coil spring spacers are your most basic lift. And they are just a block of hard rubber, or whatever they make them from, that you install between your frame and coil spring. Which run about $ 200 or so. But again, you have to keep in mind. To keep your factory ride. Your going to have to install adjustable track bars and control arms, or a control arm relocation brackets. About another $ 300 to $500 on top of the lift kit cost. A lot has to do with your wallet.

Yep I agree with RC. On JKs, You can run 33s without a lift. You can run 35s with no lift and flat fenders. You can run 37s with no lift and Metalcloak's overline fender system (probably time to regear at this point).

If you want a lift too and want a good ride, don't chinch out on the lift. Get a Teraflex, BDS, or Rubicon express lift. They are more expensive, but worth every penny. When it comes to lifts you get what you pay for.
