I just put down a deposit on 2000 Wrangler Sport 4.0. Will pick it up next week. This will be the first Jeep I've owned since the 70's. It was a Wagoneer that I swapped the old Tornado 6 with a Corvette 327. Put a lot of miles on that one. This Wrangler will be towed behind my motorhome to hopefully be able to drive on some high clearance roads and just a little off-road.

^^^^^^^What they said. Welcome back to a Jeep.:jeepwave:

I'm not positive. But wasn't that the first year for the Corvette 327 fuely in 1965? Was then and still is. My favorite Corvette. The fastback design. 63s were incredibly hard to find, and first to have an independent rear suspension. Horse power and torque was when Chevy taking back the muscle car leadership.

Sorry went off topic. Post some pics dude. We like pics. Jeep Jeep

63 was first year of the Stingray and independent rear suspension with transverse leaf springs. Not sure what year the 327 was in my wagoneer, but I bought it at a junkyard owned by a friend and it had been converted from Fuel injection back to a rochester 4-barrel carb. Worked great in the jeep. The jeep was a 64, drove it for a few years with the original T-90 3 speed, got tired of replacing countershafts and put in a Saginaw 4-speed, Hurst shifter, and adapters from Advance Adapters. The Saginaw was out of an early Chevy Vega. Chevy put the cast iron 4 speed into the vega until they developed a lighter aluminum 5 speed. The first gear in the Vega trans was something like 3.6 to 1. Perfect for a jeep conversion.
