    I'm looking for a starter for a 1966 M151A1. Does anyone have any good leads where to look?

    Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
    Does the M151 share the same motor as another Jeep ie the CJ3 by any chance. What motor and tranny do you have?

    It's a four cylinder much like the Willys but a ford motor.

    i never saw a ford 4 cyl pushrod engine!!, mtill now..

    I don't think it ever seen any action. From what I can tell it was donated to a fire station. Got it from an old neighbor for $500. It was sitting in his yard for a couple years and it started right up. Had a local car club guy that I got parts for befo I don't think it ever seen any action. Had a local car club guy that I got parts from before. But has run great the last 5 to 6 years. It has been a fun vehicle for me and my family. And now that we're out on a farm that has become invaluable. I love it to death.

    That's pretty cool. My Uncle in law has his fathers 1940s Militry jeep. It also came with a ford engine. I understand the Ford built a lot of the early Willys jeeps under the Willys badging, but put ford drivetrains in them.
