01 jeep grand Cherokee starting issue

    01 jeep grand cherokee
    My 01 jeep grand Cherokee just starting having starting issues and stalls while idling intermittently. It started hesitating to start until finally it died while on (engine not running) I tried to start it and it would try but wouldnt crank I gave it gas and it started but stalled when I let off gas if I do that and keep the rpms up for a second I can restart it after it stalls without any gas and it won't stall. Starts up fine with no hesitation with a jump start and idles fine for a few days until I have the issue again. Is it the alternator? if it was a bad/ dirty iac or throttle body would it start just fine with a jump?
