Damn near everytime I shut my zj off there is a super loud screeching that seems to be coming from the lights panel?? I didn't even know it had the ability to yell!! (My lights haven't messed up any tho)...Any ideas on WTF is going on? I'm thinking maybe heading to the salvage yard and get a new panel?? Fun fieldtrip!! :)

Before you get a new panel, maybe try to isolate the noise. Remove the panel, turn the car off, and try to pinpoint the noise. There are lot of things behind the panel.

I looked there was a bunch of wires...no sign of any melting or bare wires. I went anyways. I haven't got to go (it snows feet round here)! I got a new light panel for shits n giggles anyways. Find some nifty shit there like a sweet pushbar for the wrangler!!... Anyways I tore the dash apart put new box in n same shit!! I will look in my jeep bibles n see what's up.

With the panels removed can you isolate the noise? Maybe it is actually coming through the fire wall from the engine bay. Raise the hood and turn the jeep off whil you listen in the engine bay.
