    Putting up joint on front axle this weekend anyone have any hints to make it easier?

    Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
    I look at it as a hobby and not a job therefore I take my time no rush and enjoy the journey when I'm working on a Jeep. Penetrating oil on the C-clips and ears will help especially if you have some rust on em.

    Took me 8 hours but it's done!!! While I was there I put new wheel bearings on to. But I still have problem it does not roll smooth. It feels like you have it in 4 wheel on dry payment and turn a tight corner but it not . The transfer case is not in 4 wheel. Anyone have ideas what to look for next?

    Is your front axle engaged even thought your not in 4 wheel drive. Check your vacuum lines going to the axle. Consider investing posi lock. 8 hours is pretty quick.

    I don't know if I have a locker or spool. Just bought a month ago I don't think so it still has the two piece axle on right side. I will check out the vacuum lines tomorrow.
    How hard is it to posi lock on it?

    Wasn't front axle. I jack up the wheels one at a time the front turn smooth but the back ones made 1 turn of the drive shaft and then turn hard for a 1/8 of a turn then went smooth until the next turn.
    The drive shaft had one u joint replace at dealership right after I bought it and there is no play in it. I have not open the pumpkin yet.
