Which Aftermarket Exhaust for my 2009 Wrangler?

I'm looking to remove my stock exhaust and purchase an after-market exhaust for my 2009 Wrangler. I'm looking at the:

MagnaFlow Black Series Axle-Back Performance Exhaust System - 15160

Any thoughts? It's much appreciated..

 

I have 2010 wrangler Sahara unlimited and would like to do the same. Interested to see what input comes from our buddies here.

 

Nice. Easy install and very good looking- much better than the stock trash can. Sound is just so so. Was looking for a lower grumble but it's ok. Got it on Amazon for much cheaper ($430) than most 4x4 sites ($580).

 

Would like to see a photo of this exhaust system installed, and a recording of the sound. Can anyone help?

It is a V6. You won't get the low grumble that the I6 or V8 gets. Headers may lower the sound a little. These days everything offered seams to be CAT-back kits, and I think most kits are probably pretty equal in performance. Be careful with what you do. I find that in todays new cars they are tuned for the best HP/fuel mileage possible already due to EPA standards. So if all your changing is the muffler and going to a larger diameter exhaust you will more likely hurt your lower end power and torque. If you are adding a turbo or supercharger then increasing to a freer flowing exhaust would be beneficial.

I installed a Banks CAT back system and felt that I really lost a lot of crawling power, although it did feel peppier on the highway. It also hurt my fuel mileage. I but back on the OEM exhaust. Before I spend the money on a supercharger I will do a V8 swap.

 

Waiting until the cold weather, salt, snow mess is over before installing my axle-back MF 15160. Expecting a low tone non-ricer improvement in the exhaust note. Any minor bump in pep or mpg would be neat.
