I am checking for draw in Milliamps and from what I am seeing online this is how I do it with this meter I am unsure if this is correct to me the information online is unclear at best on how to set the dial and where the red and black go, can someone help? I am running the test by disconnecting the negative cable and going between that cable and the negative terminal on the battery.

70 views 4 days and no responses? Forums apparently arent what I am used to any more. You want to use the yellow "A" setting at 7:00 on the dial, I'd use 200 MA setting. Red lead goes in the socket to the right of the one it's in in the picture, black stays in the common. Take the ground cable off the battery and affix the black lead to the battery post and red one to the cable. You're looking for ~50-70 ma of draw, not much more. Remove fuses one at a time until you see the reading drop to that level. That will be the circuit you will have to track down for your problem. 90% of the time it's an improperly installed stereo. Good luck!
