    Hello everyone, new here...
I need to have free spin hubs on my gladiator dana 44 m210 front axle.
I have installed this axle in another project (not a gladiator obviously)and cannot use the FAD system, long story short it is a huge pain. I know how to eliminate the FAD and install new axle shafts, no worries. Now I need to know if it's even possible to convert the hubs. I have researched it and haven't found anything specific for that axle.I can't have the front end turning when I'm not in 4 wheel drive, not an option.I know it's outdated technology, but on this build it is absolutely necessary for what I need for this truck to do. Any info or directions to a forum on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

you can hack the FAD to work on your axle swap. Have to tap into the box and wire in a double pole reversing polarity switch to operate it. I plan on doing it to my JL Rubicon axles in my XJ

Tap into the FAD actuator box I'm assuming is what you mean right? I don't know if I mentioned this earlier but I did have buy a connector that fits the actuator and had a switch wired into my dash.....it doesn't do anything unfortunately to make the actuator work. BUT, if I understand correctly, it's the actuator that isn't wired for the way I had the switch setup. If that's the answer that will help me ALOT in my quest to get this setup to work. I appreciate it and would like to see your updates on your axle setup. Thank you
