I have to replace my tires on my unlimited Sahara. I currently have 20 inch, 305/55 116T tires. I don't off-road really, but do want tires that look like they should be on a Wrangler and could do a little off roading. Finding they are expensive. Trying to find reasonably priced options. Not sure how much flexibility there is with the size.

Many products after the big C resulted in price changes and/or shortages that continue to this day. Switching to the more common size 17” or 18” could reduce expenses. Check local CL or FB for takeoffs as other jeepers upgrade from stock wheel sizes and tires.

You’ve got some flexibility here, especially since you're mostly staying on the pavement. If you want that rugged Wrangler look without the high price, consider stepping down to a 17- or 18-inch wheel, which will usually bring tire costs down too. Tires like the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W or Nitto Terra Grappler G2 would fit the look, handle some light off-roading, and be easier on the wallet than the premium options. Sticking close to your 305/55 size will keep your speedometer accurate, but even slightly narrower sizes, like 285/60, can be good too.
