I have an 88 YJ with a small 350, 3" body lift and a 3" old man lift. I would like to put 35's under it but would that kill the stock axels. I don't drive it that often, maybe to work once or twice a month (30 miles round trip, all interstate) and some around town. Or should just be happy with 33's.

Sorry only pic I have with mej.jpg

The age, lift coupled with the 350 are potential stress for the axles but with limited in-town driving things should be fine. IMO taking that rig on a serious trek off-road could push things over the edge.

Thanks, this is just a give me something to do jeep(everyone leaves me alone when tinkering with it) . It’s pretty much a garage and driveway princess.

You might find that you’ll need to regear it as well once you jump to 35s. When you notice the bicycles beating you off the line at red lights, and a parade of frustrated drivers weaving around behind you on hills, you’ll know what I mean, lol.
