    I have a 1988 wrangler in need of professional help
    Can anyone recommend a mechanic familiar with the older jeep model in or near Austin?

    Hi Cyrillo, it’s good to know who the rest of the Jeep community values as their go to mechanic, especially if you need a very specific, or complex repair. But in general, any competent mechanic can work on a Jeep. That’s one of Jeeps’ attributes. They’re ultra simple, very basic, and can be diagnosed and even repaired on a trail in the middle of nowhere with basic tools. Definitely do your due diligence, and look for a good independent shop, that has a person that is honest, trustworthy and competent and who can listen. A person like that can easily fix your Jeep.
