    First a wave. . .

So, changed the oil pan gasket and upon removing the structural cover exposing the flywheel housing, these guys fall out. I've searched for all the bearings that go in this housing, input shaft, etc, and they all appear to be bar bearings vs ball bearings.

    Thanks

I would look at all of the bearings as one or more of the bearings may have failed and allowed the balls to be released.

So far, the only thing I can surmise is that they are from the throwout bearing. What would the symptoms be of a bad throwout bearing? Everything seems to be working/sounding fine.

That sounds like a reasonable assumption. If it comes apart which I'm surprised it hasnt yet, you wont get it into gear.

Welcome to the site. Throwout bearing would be my though. I would expect some extra noise when engaging the clutch but who knows.... Good luck!
