Fuel pump blowing fuel

    1898 Jeep wrangler yj
    New Dana 4.2 v6. Installed 2 mechanical fuel pumps both started blowing a lot of fuel out after less than 100 miles. Fuel pressure control dial is set at 1psi. Is it possible I got 2 bad pumps? Ordered a 3rd pump from a different company. Should I replace the fuel pressure dial also? Any guidance is appreciated
