I'm getting an occasional "clunk" when turning that feels like there's something loose in the steering box. I've already replaced the 26 year old control arms front and rear, drag link and tie rod ends and stabilizer. The ball joints seem to be ok but will be replacing them soon as well. Has any of you folks experienced a worn steering gear and what's the best way to check it out?
    thanks Jim

Steel front bumper, all terrain aggressive tires, side step rails, class 4 receiver with dual American flag mounts, roof rack, 10 LED light bars, rock lights, master control switch board, American flag decals, 2 inch lift, 2 inch spacers, slotted rotors.
Check your hubs! Make sure it's not your bearings.

Thanks for the input. I checked my hubs when I installed the tie rod ends and drag link. However, after I installed lock out hubs I did have to go back and retighten after running them awhile so I've been keeping a close watch on them.
