Just bought the cj5 front end wanders

    Shackles pro comp
    Hello I just bought my. First cj5. 1978 almost stock 33 12.50 15 with pro comp shackles jeep sat for.20 yrs. In a garage changed fluids, added as needed etc.
    Now problem is front end wonders when cruising down Street also when you take off from a stop sign jeep vers to the right along with letting off the gas goes to the right all components are good tie rods ends drag link steering box no play steering coupler has a tiny bit steering coloum none that I have found wheel bearings serviced no play in knuckles no looseness like I said all steering components are good working order.... yes toe is correct tires are good with all new bushings spring and shackle

    ...pulling my hair out....

    Update after carwash found part numbers on springs both are pro comp 2.5 lift with shackles

    Could be a combination of poor quality parts or poor installation coupled with a 20 yr old dry rot of any rubber/lubed components. Loose steering /wandering that could border on death wobble ain't to be taken lightly. Could start with the simple stuff like alignment, tire condition, psi, worn parts etc

    Did you check the caster?? Sounds like too little and that could definitely be the result of lift springs and aftermarket shackles.
