My 93 YJ 4.0 automatic started running hotter on me than usual. Never really went above 210. Temp sending unit went bad(as it has numerous times) and once I replaced it, the temp started getting to the mark last 210 and moved passed until thermostat opens and cools between 210 and next mark and cycles like that.

I replaced temp sending unit thinking I got a bad one. Same thing

I replaced thermostat since it was opening just hotter, same thing

water pump was replaced last year along with aluminum Radiator. I even replaced the gauge.
