Morning all! I've got a 2017 Wrangler Sport. We noticed a while back the dome light quit working. We noticed around the same time the radio cutting in and out (it eventually quit working altogether).

Took it in recently for some needed work and asked them to take a look. They said fuses were fine, but that the radio was dead, and THAT was affecting the dome light.

They said something about the radio needing to be replaced because it had several components "pass through it"

Thought I'd ask y'all before going out and spending a bunch on a new radio. Is there anything else I should check first?

I assume you took it to a Mopar garage. They would much rather change a part then troubleshoot an electrical issue.
I don't know your location but I would search for an Automotive electrical shop.

I go to this shop if I'm having electrical issues I can't figure out
