Hello, I'm from RI. I'm trying to keep up my 2007 Jep Grand Cherokee.
I love the older vehicles. I'm trying to keep it up. Thanks.

I parked it one day and next day it was having a hard time starting and it wouldn't shift in 5th gear.
The code P0340 is bad can shaft sensor.
I will give it a try.

It came up code P0340, that's the cam shaft sensor.
It also came up code P0633.
I'm puzzled with that one. Something about my key.
Well, I replaced the sensor and it didn't help none.
I'm going to check the harness and spray electric cleaner on it. I should of done that before putting it in. But, next time I know.
I'm new at all this. I can't afford a garage.
I think it's just really tired.

At least it may rule out the sensor as the issue as you continue the search for a solution. Post the code in case anyone else has encountered it before.
