Hello, I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7 liter engine. I've been having some electrical issues. I replaced the alternator and battery cable ends. I noticed a ground strap on the passenger side that is only connected to the firewall. The other 2 ends are loose. Where would those ends be normally connected?

Generally one or multiple ground strap connections start with the engine block and/or frame then ultimately to battery ground. I’d check a service manual for the electrical diagram to confirm.
