2011 grand cherokee 5.7 transfer case

    To replace the transfer case shift motor the transfer case must be put into neutral. When button pushed with brake pressed and trans in neutral red light will blink but doesn't stay on. 4 wheel drive low and abs lights are on. Does anyone know of a work around to get the gear for the shift motor into the neutral position so the new shift motor can be installed?
