I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 six cylinder engine. The engine threw a rod and I found an engine that was supposed to fit from an earlier year car. This engine is a 4.0 but the new engine mounts will not mount to the engine because the bolt configuration on the engine is different. Can the mount be modified (I could fabricate a new plate with the proper holes and weld it to the rest of the mount) or is there anyplace that would have a motor mount that fit in the car and also fit to a pre-1999 engine?

Probably have to DIY/custom mounts or search for the right 2000 engine
