I have a problem with a 81 CJ5. The internal arms are wrapping and bending the front sheet metal where the arms of the windshield wipers attached. This action jams the wipers stopping any movement. Help!

Does it have the factory windshield frame or has it been replaced? The wiper motor mount nutserts are not always positioned right on aftermarket windshield frames and causes knocking or binding.

Stock window frame, it looks like one of the internal arms bend. This cause undue stress on the wiper mounts this cause bending and then jammed tall the arms. Where can I get a set of internal arms and how can I reinforce the sheet metal?

Crown, Dorman and Omix-ADA all make kits. Lots of places sell them. Google Jeep Cj windshield wiper linkage kit. I'm not really sure what sheet metal you're wanting to reinforce. I know that there are cowl covers but not sure anyone makes them for the CJs. Post a picture of it and maybe someone on the forum will have an idea.
