Bought a CJ7 that I’ll need a lot of advice. Hope to get help in answers when asking. I’ve eyed this Jeep for 11 yrs. probably hasn’t been driven 100 miles in that time. It shows.

    Hello Richard, welcome from Oklahoma.
Looks like a nice little project, prime for a v8 swap.

A carb V8 would be easiest, I am partial to Chevy small blocks.
A TBI V8 would still be fairly easy and provide a bit better performance.
A LS V8 would be a bit more difficult but give you much better performance.
It's up to how much work you want to do and how much $$ you want to put into it.

Check out this website as they have a lot of background in what fits and the adapters needed for a successful job.

Thank you for the suggestions. Anymore will always be appreciated. Where to go for parts would also be so much appreciated.

360, D44 front, Chrysler 8.25 rear, 4 wheel discs, rear Detroit locker
304, and 360 engines come stock, and parts are available new, and used. Beyond that... anything is possible with either aftermarket support or a little American ingenuity. The one I'm building has a MOPAR 360.
