I got into an accident this morning
It seems like the only thing that happened to my YJ. It seemed to drive ok. I noticed the leaf was bent when I got back to my friends. It seemed to drive okay in the short distance. I live two hours away. Is it ok to drive on this. Is it fixable. Does it need to be replaced. Should I just lift the whole Jeep?

Yeah, I bent a front spring just like that. I bent it back and it held up for a short while after until it finally broke due to the fact that the metal is overstressed. I was on the trail when it let loose. Anyway I contacted the aftermarket manufacturer and they sent me a new leaf for fairly cheap.

Leaf spring replacement won’t be too difficult but inspect for other damage from the accident. Could be bent mounts or worse some frame issues.

It doesn’t visibly seem to have done any other frame damage and it didn’t drive like the alignment was Fucked up. How do I go about bending it back? taking it off and heating with mag gas and hammering it?

Spring replacement is your best solution. Get a used one if Jeep funds are an issue.
