I have a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Windshield washer fluid motor came on by itself in my garage. Washer fluid was pouring out of the back of the car. The car was not running or on. It was parked in the garage. Car went dead. Had auto club disconnected the battery and re-connected it and the car came back to life. My husband took the fuse out of the washer motor and then put it back but it wont work now. Any suggestions? Has anyone heard of this happening. Is it a relay switch? Windshield wiper fluid motor? Gremlins?

Good choice removing the fuse. Check for a hot line which would be a red wire, making contact with the wiring for the wiper motor. A bad relay would be a possibility.

Nothing wrong with the windshield wiper. It's the wiper fluid motor.

Oops, my bad. But there does seem to be a short circut somewhere. You could check for any history of the grand doing anything like that from the dealer. Tracing an issue like that could be quite a job.
