Hello my 1994 Jeep Cherokee 5.2l was stalling while idling so I pulled vacuum line going to pcv valve and it idled perfect, so I replaced the pcv and vacuum line and plugged it back together while running and it stalled on me, any advice ?
    Thank you

Thank you for the video, I have replaced both or the valves on the valve covers and all lines to do with them as well

The 90s Jeeps with the 5.2 and 4.0 had a common issue with the crankshaft position sensor going bad causing the vehicle to stall and not having the check engine light go off that would inform you of what the issue is. There was even an aftermarket outfit moving the cps to the front vibration dampner for easy replacement. Usually the cps will go bad. and eventually the camshaft position sensor will go bad also. Those 90s Grands and Cherokees were a great vehicle to take on a long distance trip to go four wheeling with suspension mods allowing a safe installation of a 31" to even 33" tire.

Im a master mechanic with 27 years paid experience, do not own a jeep at this time
Your engine is a map engine also know as a air density engine. understanding that will change the way your vacuum will effect engine performance. The fact is that when you pull the vacuum line and the idle rises it is because you are adding extra air into you intake manifold. The map sensor then sees this extra air and the computer will add fuel and the rpms rise. it has nothing to do with the pcv system. Now most likely you are having an issue with your IAC valve or TPS sensor. It would really help you to have an obd1 scan tool and look at live data to see how your vacuum, rpm, iac count, and o2 readings, rich lean switching and fuel trim. You might just need to clean your throttle body and iac vanes but dont get the electronic side wet with carb cleaner or what ever you decide to use.
