My sons 04 TJ has a popping sound coming from the front right by the tire. Sounds like a joint or something. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks

Those noises could be indicative of ball joints tie rod ends failing. Start inspecting front end components for looseness.

Does the noise happen all the time or only at certain times? (what are those times?)
In addition to @aggrex suggestions it could also be the u-joints on the axle shafts.

Probably a cv joint but it could also be drive belt.

It makes the noise mostly when turning into our driveway or any location that has a slight bump. It also does it when Turing at traffic lights.
