For 2 years now, the check engine light stays on. I've bought 2 different gas caps and my mechanic has gone over every part of the EVAP system and just shakes his head and shrugs.
He claims that the leak is so small that he can't detect it - only choice is to start replacing things until it resets or drive it until he can find it during my 'early checkup'. I trust him immensely and he's not out to get more $$$ from me - he just 'takes care of getting it inspected' and we keep going. In his defense, he's a solid Toyota rockcrawling and has taken care of my 'yotas. He may not know the tricks of the Liberty.
Does anyone else have this problem... solutions?
    Thanks!

Having similar issues with an old Toyota. Hope it's just the gas cap rather than some expensive evap part.

If your tech can handle fixing toyotas he should have no problem with jeeps.

Oh yeah, he can handle anything - that's not what I meant - I just meant any 'tricks' on the Liberty setup/system.
I'll pull the codes tonight and post tomorrow - If I remember right, it's just one code.
    Thanks.
