    you took the time to take it out, at 100+ an hour for a tech just to remove & look, it would be changed.

    The check is to spread the folds and look for dirt in crease.

    SHop for a price and put on the list.

    OEM air filters are generally high quality, fit good with dense media. For a bit less CarQuest premium are good alternative .

    I bought a new filter yesterday, the Jeep had sat a year and there was debris in the wedges of each flap.
