Too old for trails.. what size tires for a 1976 Wagoneer

    cheers y’all, trail days are over for me and my old Wagoneer.. looking at city tires with white walls. I want some thing quiet, smooth and cheap... 6 lug 15” rims.. what size ?

    Welcome @Rosebuddajeep ....post some pics of that Wagoneer! Quite possible to save some bucks on those 15" tires as the market has moved towards larger spendy 17>18>19 tires. The Wagoneer should fit 225/75-15 or 235/70-15

    Thanks Aggrex, Rosebud is a 1976 Wagoneer “Centennial Edition “... got her from an old cowboy in NewMexico, she spent her whole life on a ranch 72k original miles but the desert heat took its toll.. It’s really a cool old school Wagon, no fake trim a lot of patina..
    Your right about 15” tire prices ..
    I’ve heard some put different size stock tires on front and rear any benefit in that?
    Pictures coming soon as I figure out how...

    You could increase the tire size within reason but use the same size tire for best results.
