    Hi,
    New guy here, just got my 13 JK about a year ago. Done a few mods myself from lights to front and rear bumper. Now I’m looking to beef it up a lift and larger tires. Here to pick the brains of individuals in the know who can help me avoid costly mistakes. Any info is welcome.

    Welcome!! :jeepwave:

    I'd start with making sure you know what your end goal is.

    What's your budget?
    What kind of wheeling do you plan on doing? That will dictate your tire size/type.
    Tire size will dictate now much lift you need.
    Tire size will also dictate what gears and supporting mods you'll need.
    IMO don't cheap out on suspension and steering, stay away from the "budget" brands.

    So again,
    • Build with the end in mind.
    • Buy the correct parts, not parts that are just a good deal.

    All the above is my free internet opinion. (you get what you pay for :)
    Good luck!!

    @Blue Baby Sound
    Thanks for the wise advice. At the moment I don’t do much wheeling, but I would like to get into it. My end game is to have something that I can drive everyday, but if I want to take off road on the weekend, I can with no problem. I don’t want to break the bank, so I’m not looking to do everything at one time. No sure if that makes it clearer, but that’s where I’m at right now.
