Transmission oil suggestions?

    Hello out there going to change oil in transmission it's a 4.0 what is the best oil I can put in my baby an how much, also i have a Dana 44 front an back best oil an how much thank yall hor help

    Did you put the D44's in it or buy it that way? The sport came with D30's I believe. If you have limited slip in your 44's they need the friction additive also. Your favorite parts store can tell you quantities. Me personally there is synthetic and everything else. You can always put Mopar grease in it.

    issue is TRANSMISSION correct?

    2001 wrangler came with AX5 SO

    Recommended lubricant for AX5 transmissions is Mopart 75W–90, API Grade GL–3 gear lubricant, or
    equivalent.
    Correct lubricant level is from the bottom edge, to no more than (1/4 in.) below the bottom edge of
    the fill plug hole. Uses @3.5 quarts meaning purchase 4 guarts.

    Remove FILL plug before you remove drain plug.

    Also sage advice wear throw away clothes the smell of that grease never comes out of clothes rubber gloves a good idea also
