When I was removing the faded factory flares from the TJ, several of the screws were inserted into captive nutserts in the body. Several others were attached to a piece of black plastic backing up to the inner fender. When removing several of these that were behind the inner fender liner, there was no apparent way to grab them so they fell into the inner fender liner.

    1) is there a way to easily retrieve them?

    2) if no, what can be used if I decide to re-install the factory flares after cleaning them up? and how do I get these backing pieces back there.

    3) is there a mounting kits readily available to replace all those rusty screws?

I am torn between new wider flares (Bushwacker or Rugged Ridge) versus cleaning these up with Forever Black and/or spraying them with the bedliner product I am thinking of using for the body tub.
