I have a2013 jku 4dr, want to lift but trying to decide my route, thinking of 3.5" lift but would line to know how entailed it is. Do I have to worry about drive shaft and its geometry, what the is the difference between 2.5 and three inch! Tthank you

Welcome @Reesjeep ....selecting an increased lift height versus stock changes the angle the driveshaft operates. If the driveshaft makes contact with the exhaust/crossover pipe the boot may be damaged / leak grease and eventually fail. Some known fixes are exhaust spacers/limit straps or an aftermarket driveshaft. Metal Cloak for example recommends exhaust spacers. Some of the better complete kits include adjustable control arms to make adjustments to center the axles, set pinion + caster angles. Effective and budget friendly are geometry brackets by Rancho or AEV.

Not to contradict you Awrench, just another opinion. Mopar springs look to be a single rate spring. You get a better ride and performance out of a dual rate spring found in lift kits like Teraflex (TF), and Metalcloak (MC). MC makes the best lift on the market right now in my opinion, with TF and BDS running close seconds. MC also makes the 3.5in lift you are wanting. I agree that having the dealership install a mopar lift will likey increase the chances of you not being denied warranty work, but you did not purchase the jeep with a lift, and under warranty they have to prove that any work you do after purchase is the cause of failure. Hard to do.

Just remember that generally you get what you pay for when it comes to lift kits.

You asked what the diif is between a 2.5in and a 3in lift. It is a half an inch. LOL
